Vaja is proud to announce that of all the companies in Sweden, across all stages, sizes, and industries, in 2024 we were ranked in the top 20 by number of filed Swedish patent applications!
We view this accomplishment as validation of the major effort our team is putting into bringing true innovation to the next generation of solar tracking technologies. This ranking is also evidence of the great care we are taking to protect our intellectual property and its tremendous disruptive potential.
While attaining the #20 spot on a national patent submission ranking would be great news almost anywhere – we believe it carries some extra weight since the innovation landscape is extra competitive in Sweden. In its recently released annual report, Sweden’s Intellectual property authority (the PRV) provided an in-depth analysis of the latest “statistics in intellectual rights, innovation, and creativity” across Sweden.
As the foreword of the report suggests (when translated to English), “Sweden has a proud tradition as one of the world’s most innovative countries.” In fact, according to WIPO (the United Nations agency that serves the world’s innovators and creators) – Sweden ranked 2nd in the 2024 Global Innovation Index.
